Auditions Start NEXT WEEK!

Peter and the Wolf audions are next week September 8th & 9th! It is a shorter ballet that is performed with a narrator, and with musical works that serve as an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra as well as the basis of a delightful ballet. Each character in the story is personified by its own instruments and melody.

We will be performing pieces of this ballet in our Educational Outreach Performances in November.

 

 

Peter is a slight lad, solitary, locked out of the woods by his protective grandfather, his only friend a duck. In town, he’s bullied. When a wolf menaces the duck – as well as grandfather’s fat cat and an ill-flying bird that Peter has befriended – Peter bravely tries to tree the wolf.

For the upcoming year, along with Peter and the Wolf, Utah Valley Civic Ballet Company will be performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream!

Open Summer Classes!

We will be holding open summer classes on Fridays from 3:30-5:00, starting July 14th and going through to August 18th! Bring $8 each class you come to, or pre-pay $40 for July & August. We are accepting ages 12 to adult for these open classes. We will be holding classes in the Upstairs Studio of the Orem Rec. Center.

La Fille is Only 8 Days Away!!!

Join us next Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th for the comical ballet La Fille Mal Gardée! Shows are at 7PM, with an additional Educational Matinee at 1PM on the Saturday. They will be held in the Ragan Theatre at UVU.

Evening Admission is $7 for adults, and $5 for children, groups, and families. Admission for the Educational Matinee is free for children who live in Orem, and only $1 for children who do not live in Orem. All adult tickets for the matinee are $3.

La Fille Countdown! Only 11 days!

Come join us for the comical ballet La Fille Mal Gardée!

Friday, May 5th at 7PM and Saturday, May 6th at 1PM* and 7PM, in the UVU Ragan Theatre. Tickets for the evening performances are $7 for adults, and $5 for families, groups and children. May 6th at 1PM is a special educational matinee, and the tickets are free for children that live in Orem, $1 for children that live out of orem, and $3 for all adults.

2 Weeks Until La Fille!!!

It’s almost here, and we’re so excited!!! La Fille Mal Gardée is a comical ballet with dancing chickens, a love triangle, and a celebration of spring!

Friday, May 5th at 7PM and Saturday, May 6th at 1PM* and 7PM, at the UVU Ragan Theatre.

**The Performance on Saturday, May 6th at 1PM will be special Educational Outreach Performanceespecially for children and youth. Come be a part of Utah Valley Civic Ballet’s La Fille Mal Gardée! Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 10:15am in the Orem Senior Friendship Center (93 N 400 E, Orem), with an audition fee of $10. We are looking for male and female dancers ages 8 to adult. It is a comical ballet with dancing chickens, a love triangle, and a celebration of spring! It would be a pleasure to have you in our production!
