*The Matinee on Saturday will be an Educational Outreach Performance. We will be performing Peter & the Wolf, a thirty minute ballet that has narration and educates about ballet and classical music,  before and in addition to A Mid Summer Night’s Dream. Children that are elementary school age that live in the city of Orem, can receive complimentary ticket to this performance if ticket is received prior to the performance; though, we still encourage all to come for this show!

Auditions Start NEXT WEEK!

Peter and the Wolf audions are next week September 8th & 9th! It is a shorter ballet that is performed with a narrator, and with musical works that serve as an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra as well as the basis of a delightful ballet. Each character in the story is personified by its own instruments and melody.

We will be performing pieces of this ballet in our Educational Outreach Performances in November.

Peter is a slight lad, solitary, locked out of the woods by his protective grandfather, his only friend a duck. In town, he’s bullied. When a wolf menaces the duck – as well as grandfather’s fat cat and an ill-flying bird that Peter has befriended – Peter bravely tries to tree the wolf.

For the upcoming year, along with Peter and the Wolf, Utah Valley Civic Ballet Company will be performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream!
